Live compliance data the moment emergency services arrive.
When fire brigades, advisors or compliance officers arrive at your building, they scan the QR code near the entrance to immediately access your live evacuation plan, safety data sheets, and compliance documents. Strict access controls are in place to ensure sensitive data, like the special needs register, is only visible to authorized personnel.

WHY INSTANT ACCESS MATTERS
Every second spent locating documents is a second not spent responding.

The information sits behind people.
Compliance documents are in the office, the key is with the manager and the manager is twenty minutes away, leaving emergency services to wait or to work without the information when the alarm has already gone off.

Paper records are usually out of date.
The evacuation plan in the fire indicator panel room hasn’t been updated since 2022 and the special needs register is a spreadsheet on a desktop nobody can access, so the information that exists isn’t the information that’s current.

Trained responders can’t compensate for missing information.
Emergency services train extensively for the physical work, but who’s inside, where hazardous materials are stored and which Occupiers need assistance has to come from the building the moment they arrive.
BENEFITS

One scan. Live data. No manager required.
Emergency services scan the QR code on any device with no login, no app and no PIN, going straight to the building’s live compliance data drawn from the same platform the manager uses every day.

What’s relevant. Nothing private.
Emergency access shows what first responders need (live evacuation plan, special needs register, SDS sheets, asbestos register, FSI list and emergency contacts) while sensitive personal and financial records stay behind the manager-and-owner login.

Available regardless of who’s there.
The QR code works at 2am on a public holiday as reliably as 9am on a Monday, including during management gaps and unannounced inspections, because the information lives in the building rather than in any one person’s system.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
The live evacuation plan, current special needs register, SDS sheets for hazardous materials, asbestos register, fire safety installation list, fire indicator panel location, the most recent compliance audit and manager contact details, with sensitive personal and financial records excluded.
No, Australian fire safety legislation still requires physical evacuation diagrams to be displayed and Ordit’s QR access supplements them, so if a physical diagram is damaged or removed during a renovation the current plan stays accessible digitally.
It can be replaced without any loss of data because your building’s wallet and documents live in Ordit’s cloud rather than in the QR code itself, and any damage should be reported to Ordit promptly so emergency access stays in place.
Never send emergency services in without the information they need.
