Changing your password regularly helps keep your Ordit account secure and ensures that only authorized users can access your building information. You can change your password anytime from your account settings, or reset it if you’ve forgotten it.
When You Need to Use This
You should change your password when:
● You’ve shared a device or suspect unauthorized access.
● Your current password has expired or been compromised.
● You want to follow your company or building’s security best practices.
● You’ve recently been prompted by Ordit to update your credentials.
Step-by-Step: Changing Your Password (When Logged In)
1. Log in to your Ordit account using your registered email address and current password.
2. Click your Profile Icon in the top-right corner of the dashboard.
3. Select Settings or My Account from the dropdown menu.
4. In the Password section, enter your current password.
5. Enter your new password, making sure it meets security requirements:
○ Minimum of 8 characters
○ At least one uppercase and one lowercase letter
○ At least one number or special character
6. Re-enter your new password to confirm it matches.
7. Click Save or Update to apply the changes.
8. Log out and back in to verify your new password is working correctly.
Tip: Choose a unique password that you do not use for other websites or services.
If You Forgot Your Password
If you cannot log in and need to reset your password:
1. Go to the Ordit Login Page.
2. Click Reset Password below the password field.
3. Enter your registered email address and click Send.
4. Check your inbox for a reset code from Ordit.
5. Return to the reset page, enter the code, and create a new password.
6. Save your new password and use it to log in.
If you don’t receive the reset email, check your Spam or Junk folder, or contact support@ordit.au for assistance.
Best Practices for Strong Passwords
● Avoid using personal information such as names or birthdays.
● Use a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols.
● Never share your password with others.
● Update your password at least every six months.
● Consider using a secure password manager to store your credentials safely.
